FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why Did I Create This Website?

To provide an easy way to search for and find information about vintage Hamilton watches that otherwise may have been lost to the sands of time.

How Accurate Is Your Information?

As accurate as compiling information manually from 60+ year-old documents, service manuals, out-of-print books, and defunct company paperwork can be. Most of the people involved with Hamilton Watch Company are no longer with us. The company has also gone through several sales and mergers over the years along with physical moves. I lost track of how much time it took to do the data entry for this project but it was years and over 25,000 pieces of information manually logged. I'm sure there is an error somewhere due to entering all of the information into a database by hand, as well as the old records being misinterpreted. Please contact me and let me know if you find an error.

Do You Sell Watches?

From time to time I may put something on various marketplaces if I am trying to thin my collection or add to it without increasing the total count. But I do not sell watches as a source of income. I am a collector first and foremost.

Can You Fix Or Appraise A Specific Watch?

No. Sorry, I do not provide this service to the public.

Do You Know What Part Number Something Is?

Try to find it using the parts list page on this website. If it isn't listed here then the internet and various forums are your best next option.

Do You Work For Hamilton Or The Swatch Group?
